Sitting at the bottom of Lexington Avenue in dowtown Asheville North Carolina sits one of the top clubs in town. Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band blazed into the summer night. The front wall opens up like a garage door but it was still hot inside. This band continued to funk for hours despite the heat and their afternoon gig at the Hometown Stage at the Bele Chere festival.
Check out this band if they are in your area, you won't be let down. And while in Asheville, be sure to keep up with the wide line-up at the Emerald Lounge. My dog loves this club and so do I. The Club will expand to 2 levels if the landlord get off his ass, stops paying the police to prevent patrons from using the parking lot and brings the upstairs up to code. Despite this, The Emerald Lounge remains one of the top 2 places to see live music in downtown Asheville.
